Fourth Day of Clinic

The fourth day of clinic was the first repeat site. They were back near the brick kiln. Another day of sharing of their time and talents to help people who may have never seen clearly before. Another day of being God's hands and feet to the people of India. Another day that God is using them to soften and prepare hearts to hear of His love for them. Another day of working a mission field that they may never personally see the fruits of ... until Heaven. Oh, Father, make it so! Use their obedience to Your calling to grow Your Kingdom!

Sometimes, you have to find creative ways to protect your melon! Rumor has it, the team was shopping for hats today ...

The eyeglass clinic would not be possible without the help from translators. And from what I'm hearing, they have some great people helping them out.

I'm still waiting to hear the totals from Day 4, but we know this isn't about numbers. We love to see big numbers because it's exciting to see so many people given the gift of sight. But if one person is touched by Christ's love and sacrifice; if one person learns of our Jesus who has paid our debt; if one person is nudged a little closer to a saving faith in our Savior ... then every penny; every mile; every hour; everything of this trip is worth it!

The glasses are a gift and can make a difference in their lives; and yes, that alone is worth the trip. But that gift is temporary and Jesus gives us the gift of eternal life!

God's blessings!
