The Taj Mahal

We had a great day! Today was our tourist day of the trip and we visited one of the seven wonders of the modern world ... the Taj Mahal!
We started the day with breakfast at the hotel and many of the group got their first taste of Indian food. There were many things to choose from, including some familiar foods like French toast. After breakfast, we took our bus several hours to Agra and visited the Taj Mahal. We picked up a tour guide along the way and he told us all about the history of this wonder.

This is Ajay, our tour guide, teaching us about the Taj and the 20,000 workers that took 22 years to build it.

We also got to sport these attractive booties ...

After the Taj, we enjoyed dinner at ... Pizza Hut!!

The last thing we did in Agra was visit a marble shop where they showed us how they made marble handiwork using the same ancient technique as was used when the Taj Mahal was built. It was amazing and they made beautiful things.

We made the return trip to New Delhi and ended the evening with a team meeting and devotions. Ray shared with us a moving devotion based on Jonah and Pastor Daniel shared how God called him into ministry and some stories from the beginning of that calling.
We had an incredible day and we are looking forward to traveling to Dasuya tomorrow so we can start the eyeglass clinic. We are excited to see the people of the community and our friends at Everlasting Life Church.
As always, thank you for your continued prayers. We pray that you see the work of God in your life today.
In His love,
Your India Mission Team
