Day 3 of clinic

Our third day of the clinic began with a drive through the fog. The way people drive in India is scary enough for Americans, but it was especially frightening when we couldn't see any other cars until they cut right out in front of you, but through it all God's hand of protection was over us.

One we arrived at pastor Daniel's house we had another amazing breakfast from our hosts followed by the best beverage of all-Chai tea. Once breakfast ended, the clinic began. We got into the normal routine oif testing and fitting glasses to the people of Dasuya and the surrounding areas. It was really amazing to see one of our translator's mothers come through. Neetu was so excited to introduce us to her mother, and we were blessed to help her be able to see again. One very special story from the day came from Josh. A man came back to the clinic to be re-tested, because he was not able to read the Bible he received the day before. What amazing work by the holy Spirit!

During the evening we went on a short tour through a few different house churches in Dsuya. We listened to some excellent music from the church, and then Pastor Daniel asked me to speak to the congregation. I was very surprised and honored to do this, and one verse quickly came to mind.

"I have become all things to all people so that be any means necessary I might save some, and join with them in the message of the gospel that is Jesus Christ" 2 Corinthians 19:22 (paraphrased).
To me this is the goal not only of our mission team, but of all Christians, in India or America. To do whatever we can to allow people to share in the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
